Philip Campbell
Philip Campbell, M.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine. He is a psychiatrist-scientist who uses zebrafish genetics, behavioral phenotyping, and whole brain imaging to dissect the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which rare genetic variants associated with autism and schizophrenia disrupt brain function and behavior. His laboratory studies several such variants, including the 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and NRXN1, with the ultimate goal of identifying novel molecular targets for therapeutic intervention.
