Next Steps for Professionals and Families
The Center for Autism Research will hold workshop is geared towards professionals who work with toddlers through elementary school-aged children who are diagnosed with autism. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend.
Topics include an overview of autism, how diagnoses are made, available interventions, tips and resources for supporting families, current research and a question and answer panel. Presenters will include specialists in speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, social work and psychology.
There is a nominal charge of $10 for the session. Parking passes are available to purchase in advance for $5.
Requests for language interpreter or other accommodation services must be received three weeks in advance of the workshop.
